2019 New “Specified Skilled Visa” !

A new working visa called “Specified/Designated Skilled Laborer (DSL)” visa for semi-skilled foreign nationals has just started on April 1, 2019.

Japanese Govenment will accept 345,000 skilled workers in 14 business sectors from April 2019 to 2024. See below with the total upper limit by industry.

In terms of eligible countries, if you stay in Japan and pass the exam concerned with N4 certificate, you can apply for the DSL visa, regardless of nationality.
